Yesterday was amazing!  What a great first day!  Welcome to all of our members ... we are so happy that you are here!  (is that too many exclamation points?! who cares!)
Our goal with ShooterBank is pretty simple.  Be THE place to go when you are looking to hire a photographer or be hired as a photographer.  We have some exciting things planned for the next few months and we can’t wait to get started.  Stay tuned!

It is just about 9am on this gorgeous Tuesday morning here in Los Angeles and ShooterBank is officially on the move.  We can’t wait to get this party started and provide the best service possible to our members.  ShooterBank is going to be THE place to go when you need to find a photographer - fast!  Need an assistant?  Had a family emergency and need to find a qualified replacement shooter?  Start here.

ShooterBank is the first online assignment portal specifically geared to the unique needs of professional photographers and hiring managers. We let you choose from several photography-specific search criteria so that our search engine can deliver specific, targeted results. You won’t need to sort though hundreds of the wrong people to find the right ones.  If you have ever had to find a photographer on short notice - we know you will appreciate this function.  Looking for a Nikon shooter only?  Maybe you need someone with commercial experience to assist you with those print ads?  Need someone that lives in Hawaii for the wedding you are shooting on Maui?  Category specific searching lets you do just that.

Maybe you are used to shooting portraits but are interested in assisting or second shooting on weddings?  In this tighter economy you need to be proactive about getting your name out there and getting more “creative” about what you are shooting.  Why not put yourself out there and see what happens?  In the summary section on your profile mention that you are interested in shooting weddings.  Mini “portrait shoots” during the cocktail hour at a wedding reception is a great way to capture all of the guests and sure beats those stale table shots.

Soft Launch TODAY!

The idea for ShooterBank came about from an experience that made us realize how necessary (yet nonexistent) a service like this is.

We needed to find a last-minute replacement shooter for a wedding only days away, and on a holiday weekend no less. Where were we going to QUICKLY find a QUALIFIED replacement photographer on such short notice? Craigslist? Good luck.

The unfortunate truth was that there wasn’t a website where we could go to easily search for a photographer based on our specific criteria, review their portfolios, and connect with. We felt that a site like this would be a very desirable resource that photographers would love to have at their disposal, so we created ShooterBank.

Today, we officially start building “the bank”.  If you are a photographer that is looking for more work, ShooterBank is the place to start.
